Blair, Marion “Mimi” (nee Zahn) passed away peacefully surrounded by family April 10, 2018 in Victoria, British Columbia. Mimi is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dean; her children, Jeff (Debbie), Ed (Grace), Bill (Andrea) and Rebecca; grandchildren, Carissa, Matthew, Brittany, Alisha, Scot, Lee, Jess and Hanako; great grandchildren, Brixton, Grant, Abram, Walter, Jasper and Scout, and her cats Kiko and Squeaky. Of her siblings, she is predeceased by her brother Ed, and survived by two sisters Caroline and Vivian, and their children.

Mimi was born on December 4, 1936 in Wausau, Wisconsin. In 1951, she graduated as a pediatric nurse. On April 9, 1960, she married Dean in Wisconsin where they resided for 10 years. The family took the plunge and moved to Lethbridge, Alberta in 1970. Mimi raised her children and worked as an educational assistant until 1995 when she and Dean retired in beautiful Victoria. She enjoyed nature and hiked regularly. Her gardens, both indoors and out, were spectacular. Mimi loved children and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Brookfield, Dr. Gainor, Dr. Seth-Smith and Dr. Troughton who cared for Mimi.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 9:00 am, with Dr. Grant Gainor officiating. A Memorial Reception to follow the ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local SPCA.
