    Hi Laura

I wanted to personally offer my condolence to you and your children. I have prayed peace for you and your family to help get through this very difficult time. I still remember vividly Mark and I having coffee together at a small bakery in Victoria right around the time we were rolling over the Hartley book to Co-op and we had a wonderful visit. Please reach out to me anytime, I will always take the time for a visit.

    Laura,
So sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. My deepest sympathies to you, Emily and Winston. I particularly remember how much Mark enjoyed hosting the Hartley gang at your home in Shawnigan Lake. He cooked a mean BBQ salmon! Life is not always fair but we must remember the good times. Best wishes for consolation in this difficult time.

    Laura and Family,

I was truly shocked and saddened by the news of your loss. I too, like others who have posted above, was a friend from high school days. Many of my memories of good times were spent with Mark. We ski raced together at Mansfield and would spend weekends at his family farm in Creemore. His spirit will burn bright in my memory.

    Laura:

Lisa informed me of your untimely and unfair loss. While I never got the chance to know Mark as well as I would have wished our paths did cross and I remember well an enjoyable afternoon visit with Mark at your home a few years back.
My sympathy to you and your family.

My deepest condolences to Mark’s family from an old friend who grew up in Orchard Heights with Mark. Many fond memories of skiing at Mansfield with Mark and the rest of the Graydonites.

Laura, my deepest sympathies to you, Emily and Winston. I lived around the corner from Mark in Orchard Heights and we spent many great times together at parties and on the ski slopes of Mansfield during our years at Gordon Graydon High School. I last saw Mark in 1999 after his dad passed. I was very saddened to hear of Mark’s passing via Facebook Messenger from Scott Perkin. I wish your family all the best in this very difficult time. Dave Frost.

Laura, my deepest sympathies to you, Emily and Winston. I was a childhood friend of Mark’s (from elementary school on up) and we spent many great times together on the ski slopes of Mansfield and Caledon. In more recent years, Mark and I had a few brief visits, when I was in Victoria on business or travel, catching up on family matters and sharing memories of old times together. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Mark’s passing (from Ken Head) and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the children and sister Alex at this difficult time. I pray that Bird Man (one of Mark’s nicknames as we were growing up) has been reunited with his Mom (whom he lost much too young) and his dad.
