MUMFORD, Minnie (Jerri) – Born in Paignton, Devon, England on January 4, 1909. Passed away at the Lodge at Broadmead on August 28, 2002. She is survived by her niece, Patricia Collings and nephew, Malcolm Mumford of England.

Jerri came to Canada in 1930 and joined the CWAC in 1942. She served overseas in London, England and Italy for 3 years, and participated in the Victory Parade. She remained active in the Militia following the war and worked for the National Defence at Royal Roads and CFB Esquimalt.

Jerri was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 182, and will be sadly missed by her many friends and colleagues.

A service of remembrance will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver St. on Friday, September 6, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Gavin Rumsey will officiate. A reception will follow in the Graham McCall Family Centre.
