I was so saddened to hear of Norma’s sudden home going. We were housemates while in Turkmenistan. We shared such incredible adventures there in 1993, and remained such good friends ever since. She is now with her wonderful Lord whom she loved and served so faithfully. My condolences to the family! Love and prayers

We have many happy memories of Norma, from both ourselves (Wanda nee Ward and Walter), and Wanda’s Mom, Joan Ward. Norma opened her house and yard for our wedding photos in Masset back in September 1981. After almost 40 years, we’re still happily married. We still remember the beautiful late summer flowers in the yard, which provided a great backdrop for two very young people! Joan also told us some nice stories of Norma’s varied work experiences, and her kindness. Our condolences to the family.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend Norma. I served with Norma during our time at People International, in Kent. We forged a beautiful friendship in the Lord and though we went our separate ways, I very often thought about Norma and remembered our wonderful time together. I loved talking with Norma about our Lord and hearing her wonderful stories and testimonies. She was such an incredible blessing to me. I even came to Canada with Norma to attend a wedding. I have often thought about contacting Norma and that’s how I discovered her passing – as I looked to see if there was any contact details for her. I shall always remember her and very much look forward to meeting her again in the presence of our Lord and Saviour. God bless my lovely friend.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I always enjoyed talking to her when she made her trips to our Shopper’s Drug Mart. We had so many nice chats over the years. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Norma has been a true Christian friend for over 60 years and I am deeply saddened to know she will no longer be available to share
some of life’s journey with. Norma was committed, above all, to her Christian faith and spoke without reservation to the values she practiced as she endured a variety of challenges throughout her life. Her joy was to serve the Lord in any capacity she felt she was called upon to do.
I will miss our lovely friendship and also the dinners we shared over the years until very recently.
I send my deepest sympathy to her family.
Rest in Peace Norma, Until We Meet Again Beverley Smith (nee Hill)
