Oddvar Marthinsen born August 20, 1946, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023, with his loving wife of 50 years, Unni Marthinsen, by his side. He is survived by his sons, Yngve (Christine) and Tore (Danielle), along with his four grandchildren Ethan, Kale, Amelia and Eila.

Born in Oslo, Norway, he moved with his young family to Canada in 1976 where he worked at the mine for 30 years. Oddvar loved the outdoors and was an avid kayaker, hiker and photographer.

A celebration of Oddvar’s life will be planned and held in the spring.
