Robert passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital on March 25, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elizabeth, his children John (Darci), Teresa (Jimbo) and David, and his grandchildren Tristan, Chayla and Noah. Predeceased by his parents Sam and Flora Port, sister Irene and brother Andy. Survived by brother-in-law Dick, sister-in-law Antoinetta and nephews Sam and Raymond.

Robert was born and raised in Field, BC and shared many wonderful stories about growing up in the Canadian Rockies and the family hotel. After graduating from UBC he set up his dental practice in North Vancouver before retiring to Kelowna then Victoria, BC.

A true Canadian, Robert loved the sport of hockey. He taught his kids how to skate and play, looked forward to watching their games and appreciated a good Canucks game. He enjoyed being outside to get his exercise in the garden, pamper his lawn and go for walks.
