I was very sorry to read of Sharon’s passing in the Times Colonist. In life you often regret the things you never did and I for one am sorry I never reached out and got to know Sharon. I knew she had a strong interest in the Bodard ancestry and followed up on the family tree our Aunt Nick started. I would have enjoyed hearing of her investigations. I was delighted to read she published her own family history book. A monumental task I am sure but a lasting legacy. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

I was sad to learn of Sharon’s death. I got to know her through helping her with her family history book — to appreciate her determination, her focus on her goals and her willingness to do whatever it took to achieve them. What a gala day it was when the book was finally finished, and she held the manifestation of her years and years of research, writing and thoughtful effort in her hands! My condolences to Sharon’s family; I am sure she is missed.
