Sherry passed away suddenly on July 22, 2018.  She was born in Brampton, Ontario on October 20, 1967 to parents, Shirley Emery and Michael Moloney (deceased).  She is survived by her loving mother, Shirley, step-father, Lorne, her son, Chase Moloney, brother Brian Moloney and close Aunt Anita, Uncle Neil and many nieces, nephews and cousins, Kim, Carrie, Robyn and Kelly.

Sherry attended York University in Toronto and studied Dental Hygienist in Sudbury.  She moved to the west coast around 2005 and enjoyed a career as Dental Hygienist and really enjoyed her boss and co-worker family.  She was very happy in this office and made many close relations with her patients.  Many brothers and sisters in Christ knew her through the Seven Day Adventist Church.  She frequently attended different SDA services on the Island and Island Camp.  Sherry was a friendly soul and gained many friends in life and her sense of humour will be dearly missed.

Sherry made many sacrifices to provide a loving home for her son, Chase.  They had a Mission trip together to Guatemala and Chase spent time in Thailand on a separate mission through his school.  She also had a great love of animals, in particular, her 2 dash-hounds, Poopsie and Rascal.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm.

Donations can be made to Chase Moloney-Brunke’s account (ID 579062) at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC.

We have been ‘patients’ of Sherry’s for many years at Dr. Rycraft’s dental practice. We always enjoyed hearing all about the latest accomplishments of her son, Chase, a Pokemon Master; and too, the dash-hounds, (her pronunciation) – Poopsie and Rascal – AKA – ‘her boy’ and ‘her girl’…..
Sherry had a beautiful smile and a cheery attitude. She had many friends and contacts in the e-world of dachshunds.
    We will miss her greatly.

I knew Sherry only through social media and our love of dachshunds brought us together. She was a frequent participant in our Dachshund World Charities auctions, bidding on items to help raise funds for sick or injured pups. She is greatly missed. I enjoyed her sense of humor and her videos of her and her doxies on the beach. Please know she touched many lives. My sincere sympathies to her family.

Sherry’s beauty shined through in every interaction we enjoyed. I so loved her sense of humor and her love for Poopsie and Rascal. God needed his angel back. Until we meet again, Sherry. You are well-loved on this earth. <3 May your family and friends eventually be at peace with this and enjoy the thought that they will see you again.

Losing Sherry has created a painful void in our close knit Dachshund community. Her wit, sense of humor, and kindness will be greatly missed and not a day has gone by that we haven’t thought of her. You could always count on a funny picture or comment which she was known for in her posts. My deepest condolences to her son Chase, and family.

Sherry was a kindred spirit as we both shared a love of dachshunds….both having a female black/tan “Poopsie” and each of us having a red piebald. She was a dear friend that I never met face to face. I will greatly miss her bubbly personality and wit. A bright spot in life she is a shining star now. My heart goes out to her family members and to Chase, her son, who she spoke so highly of, and to her two little Earth angels Poopsie and Rascal. Safe journey my friend!

    with deep sympathy,
    Deb Tooley, Chile & Raven

Sherry was a wonderful lady. We had great conservations, all be it one sided, when she was performing her skills on my teeth. Going in for my regular visits will not be the same without her there.
