Our beloved father, grand and great-grandfather was born in Fort William, Ontario on January 6, 1929 and passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023.  Steve lived a very full life and was a shining example of loyalty, strength, and character to all his family and friends.  A true Gentleman.

He will be missed by his son Dave (Shannon), daughter-in-law Jacquie, grandchildren Daniel (Deanna), Adam (Isa), Graham (Lexi) and Laurel (Adam), 5 wonderful great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and his brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was predeceased by his youngest son Donald in 1998 and loving wife Elsie in 2010.

Steve grew up and lived his entire working life in Thunder Bay, Ontario, retiring to Sooke, B.C. in 1990.  For 30 years they spent half the year in BC and half on Perch Lake (near Atikokan, Ontario), his favorite place to be.

Steve loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  Until almost the very end he devoted hours daily to walking, swimming and golf.  He was a long time Rotarian and an active member within his church families in Sooke, Thunder Bay and Atikokan.

A Memorial service will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2110 Church Rd., Sooke, B.C. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Foundation (www.bccancerfoundation.com) would be greatly appreciated.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dave (Shannon) Daniel (Deanna) Adam (Isa) Jacquie, Graham (Lexi) Laurel (Adam) and his 5 great-grandchildren.
Steve was a kind, quiet, Christian man with a gentle soul. I hold close to my heart fond memories of him on all my many visits to Victoria over the years.
I shall miss that smile of his followed by that very distinctive chuckle. I always looked forward to our dinners, chats and my annual Christmas card. The void is already felt.
Steve was very much loved by his family and friends and he in turn loved them back.
    Until we meet again…………….
    Prayers.
    Love Maureen and Milton Pacheco
