It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Virginio, our loving husband, dad, vavô, brother, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle and friend. He was born on October 8, 1947 in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal and passed away on March 20, 2018 in Victoria, BC.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Maria Evelina of 49 years; daughters, Gloria (Ian), Linda (Darren) and Evelina; grandchildren, Tyrone, Robbie and Savannah; nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces; great-great-nephews and nieces.
We would like to thank Dr. Michael Mawdsley for many years of support and the nurses and doctors at VGH for their kind and supportive care.
A Visitation will be held from 10:15 am – 10:45 am at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, with Burial at Royal Oak Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Victoria S.P.C.A.
