It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loving husband, father, and friend, Walter, on March 9, 2018, from a courageous battle with cancer.

Walter was born in Ostrzeszewo, Poland on May 29, 1942. It was there he met and married the love of his life Ann in 1965. They began their life together in Winnipeg, MB before moving to Victoria, BC where they happily raised their sons, Andrew and Mark. They enjoyed many trips in the RV, camping, and fishing.

In 1972, Walter began his career in Sears Canada as the Master Tailor. After 36 years at Sears, he retired. His passion was playing the trumpet in the 5 Field Regiment Band from 1974 to 1993. Walter was an active member of the Branch 7 Legion.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife Ann; sons Mark (Leslie) and Andrew; sister Roźa (Jan); and many dear friends.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to all who made Walter’s last few months comfortable.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Thursday,  March 15th, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
