It is with great sadness that the Langen family lost Dennis Langen, their beloved son, brother, uncle on June 29, 2017 in Victoria, B.C.

Dennis was born and spent most of his adolescence in Thunder Bay, Ontario; a city that he always remembered with great fondness.

He is survived by his mother, Audrey; sister, Cathy; brother, John (Michelle) and niece, Alex. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins; The Krystalowich’s: Dorene, Peter, Jeff, Dan and Chris; the Kubenics: Jeanne, Joe, Mark, Gary, Chris, Greg, Francine and Michael; the Harmers: Lorraine, Glen, Bryan, Jackie, Donna, Linda, Colleen and Donald; the Lajat’s: Bruce, Jean, Leon, Bradley and Patricia; the Langen’s: Eino, Elia, Kenneth, Gary, Leonard, Linda, Daniel and Marlene; and the Ostrom’s: Brian. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Steven & Eva and Bruno & Ellie; his father, Elis; uncles, Steve, Arne, Jim and Frank; aunts, Florence and Marjetta; and cousins, Richard and Sandra.

Dennis loved to play guitar and write songs. Despite battling schizophrenia for two-thirds of his life, Dennis always aspired to achieve those things in life that most of us are able to accomplish with ease.

Dear Audrey, Cathy, Dorene and family,
I’m so sorry to have just heard about Dennis’ passing. Thinking of you all at this sad time. I believe it was at the great SAV garage sale of 2014 that I enjoyed getting to know Dennis a little bit and learn about his amazing musical talents.
    Take care.
