Kim passed away, far too early, at the age of 61. A different kind of mother for each of her daughters – Kaarina, Alexis, Teegan and Tess, she will forever be their favourite person. She was loved deeply by her husband John, sister Linda, step-children and grandchildren. The toughest softy and the busiest woman around, she loved her family and dogs, job and colleagues, puttering around her house, and filling it with beautiful things. To help fill the big hole she has left behind, the family would love to receive warm memories from those that knew her.

Kim babysat my brothers ( John,Patrick and Michael) as well as my sister Catherine and myself, when she was in high school. I loved Kim as a babysitter. She was always so kind and yet gently firm . My mother Margaret Millington kept in touch with Kim through the years. It is with deepest sympathy to hear of Kim’s passing. I always had fond memories of Kim, that I held close to my heart. With great sadness, Ann Lupenette ( Millington).

I spent a lot of hours hanging about Kim’s house during my formative years. Spent a lot of nights, stayed for a lot of dinners and alway felt welcome. Kim was a strong, hardworking, loving Mother, traits I know she passed down to her daughters. I am so sad she is gone so soon, I know this loss is felt deeply by many. My condolences to the Sisters, John and all the family.

    Hello,

I am heartbroken to receive this news. I am a casual RN at VGH and have known Kim as my manager on 5A. I have to say that Kim went above and beyond to help me on many occasions. I will forever be grateful to her for always being so understanding, supportive, and for going to bat for me. I’m truly so sorry for your loss.

I wish to express my deepest sympathies for your loss. I did not have the privilege of knowing Kim but did know she was loved and was a great daughter, mother and wife. Her mother was a good friend to my mother. Lillian would very often speak of Kim and Kim’s family, all of whom she was very proud of. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
