Myrna passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2018 in Victoria, BC surrounded by her family. She was born on February 26, 1930 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Myrna was predeceased by her husband, George, in 2015. She is survived by her loving children, Janet (Terry), Marilyn (Mark), and Bill; her brother, Ray; grandchildren, nephews and great-nephews.

She will be missed by all her friends at Parkwood Place.

Myrna enjoyed gardening, cruising, watching the Toronto Blue Jays and spending time with her family. Myrna was a devoted mother and will be missed greatly by her children.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held in Vancouver at a future date.

The family wish to thank the doctors and nurses of the Patient Care Centre, 8 South, Royal Jubilee Hospital who cared for Myrna during the last two weeks of her life. The family also wants to extend profound gratitude and thanks to the staff and residents of Parkwood Place Retirement Residence for their care, friendship, and support during the past four years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Wilson Block, 1952 Bay Street, Victoria, BC, V8R 1J8.

    I am very sorry that Aunt Myrna has passed away. I will always remember the spring breaks that were spent in Courtenay with Uncle George and Aunt Myrna. Fishing with Uncle George and excellent dinners prepared by Aunt Myrna. She will be missed.
