Nonie was born in Comox, BC 24 November 1917. As a young woman, she moved from Comox to live in Victoria. That is where she met George and they married in 1941. They were married for 59 years. Nonie passed away peacefully 22 June 2017 to be reunited with her predeceased husband George.
Mom is survived by her son Doug, daughter-in-law Cheryl, daughter Gina, son-in-law Geoff (Reid), grandsons Todd and Darren and his wife Alysha, great-granddaughter Everly and brother-in-law Gordon. Many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survived Mom.
Both Mom and Dad belonged to the Uplands Golf course. Besides loving to play golf, they spent many years travelling to Hawaii and California. They had numerous friends there and in Victoria and liked to entertain.
Mom was a wonderful loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother. To know her was to love her, as everyone did. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, always interested and caring for others, her youthful spirit, and never afraid to do or try anything. She drove and played golf till she was 95 and then did some travelling. She was still full of fun and spunk on her 99th Birthday. She will be missed so much. If you believe in Angel’s, heaven just received one. Mom was an inspiration to everyone. Whatever anyone did for her, she truly appreciated it. Her famous saying after anything she did was “I did enjoy”. She enjoyed life.
Rest in peace, Mom. We will love you forever.

No funeral by request. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
