Terri Poncelet I am so very sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. I haven’t seen him in recent years but always remember him as a kind and thoughtful person who was nice to be around.
-
Laurie Soloway I was so sorry to read of Craig’s recent death (upon my return to the office this morning after a week away). I worked with Craig from the beginning of my articles at the Legal Services Branch, in 1991, until his retirement, and will always be in his debt. Craig was knowledgeable, generous and patient, as a professional and as an individual, and I deeply regret his passing.

Karen Michelsen I worked with Craig in the library at the Ministry of Justice for 20 years. Craig and I worked well together over the years. I valued his knowledge.
I’m very sad to hear of his passing. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Clare Anderson To the family of our good friend Craig,
Am just one of the guys that got to spend some great times with Craig and have nothing but the best of memories from all of them.
Sincere, humourous and forthright, Sauce was a pleasure to be with
and in turn took great pride in being with his buddies, which was
special to see.My deepest condolences

Jane Taylor I worked with Craig for many years in the Attorney General’s Library. I’m very sad to hear of his passing, so soon after his retirement. He was a steadfast and reliable colleague, and a solid researcher. My heartfelt sympathies to Craig’s mother and all of his family.

Kelly Mann Sauce was one of the good guys………….always ready with an obscure sport stat, he always gave it with a smile and his patent little chuckle. I will remember him fondly at the many Super Bowl parties at my place years ago on Rockland.
Rest now my friend. You won’t be forgotten.

Jennifer Button I had the good fortune to be a Ministry of Justice colleague of Craig’s for many years. He was an excellent librarian. He combined his exceptional professional skills with creativity and a quiet determination to help – a wonderful mix, which meant that people like me consulted him with complete confidence even when nothing else appeared to work. And, in my experience, he never failed to find the necessary response to a request.
I was so sorry to see him leave the Ministry, but more important was his obvious happiness as he entered his retirement. We all wished him a great deal of that.
Like so many others in the Ministry, I am terribly sad to hear of his death. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Kathryn Chapman I too work in the Ministry of Justice. Craig was a valued colleague and provided assistance in so many ways. His legal research skills were second to none. He was sorely missed when he retired and I think we have all received the news of his far too early passing with deep sadness. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Jean Morgan I work in the Ministry of Justice. Craig was our librarian and an amazing librarian! He assisted me, in his quiet thoughtful way, so many times with legal research — often times relating to very unusual issues. When Craig retired, we wished him a long and happy retirement after serving so faithfully for many years. It was a shock to hear of his sudden passing. I am so sorry for your family’s loss. My sincere condolences.

I only heard yesterday of Craig’s recent passing, and my sincerest condolences go out to Merle for your deep loss. As young kids Craig and I were inseparable best buddies. During our young years from about age 5-12, we attended Sunday school together, joined the same Cub Pack, with his dad David as our “Leader”. Some of our most memorable childhood summers were spent hanging out together at Camp Bernard with the other kids. I bet I could still find some old black and white shots of those days. It’s where we learned to float or sink, swim or drown, dive or belly flop, canoe, skip stones, tie knots, tell stories and sing songs around the campfires…and just be kids together! We played baseball together for a few years, served in our church (St. Matthias) as servers and alter boys, and remained close friends right though High School. Together, we also endured many annual “Pender Bender-Wide Wide Opens” over the years, of which my memory remains a bit foggy….due to the strict “1 per hole rule”. You can go through life with many acquaintances, but special lifetime friends are few and far between. A true friendship is golden, and you were! RIP Sauce!
