    Doug, Russ, Debbie and Don,

Doug and I were so sad to hear of your mum’s passing. She and your dad were such a big part of our growing up. My mum counted Kay amongst her closest friends and I remember it was always fun when your parents were around.

Debbie do you remember the trip we made with to Parksville with Donnie, and your mum and dad? We stayed in a cabin on the beach and the men went fishing while we stayed home and played on the beach and shopped in town.

Russ, I remember the time I stayed with your family while my parents went on a vacation. I had a such a good time sitting at the table after dinner gabbing with you and your mum.

I have a very vivid memory of a skirt and vest your mum sewed for me. My mum chose the fabric (poodle hair?!) and Kay put it all together. It was bright blue and I loved it!

I also remember that my mum so enjoyed your mum’s visits when she came to see her in Nanaimo. And who can forget the 4 grannies getting caught smuggling electronic games across the border for the grandkid’s Christmas presents (Kay, Lenore, Mrs Dempster and Mrs Foster).

Losing your mum leaves such a sad gap in the family, I know you will miss her very much. Thinking of you, Diane
