Shirley was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Victoria, BC and passed away at home (as she wished) surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her childhood sweetheart, Wes (married 61 years), her brother Vern (Bev), her three children, Ron (Barb), Sandra (Keith), and Gary, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Shirl was a loving wife to Wes and an awesome mother to her children. She was a wonderful example of grace and perseverance for her grandchildren. Her great grandchildren were her special delight. Thank you to Dr. Sidhu, nurses and home care workers. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, March 16 at 1:30 at Elk Lake Baptist Church. 5349 Pat Bay Highway. Dan and Demi Swan We live far away, but have very fond memories of Aunty Shirley. She was such a lovely, kind lady. Sending Uncle Wes and the rest of the family our deepest sympathies.
