Peacefully, at Mount Saint Mary’s Hospital, Victoria, B.C. at the age of 90, Victor (Vic) Robert Sage, passed into eternal rest on February 19th, 2013. He is survived by his brother, Stanley (Margaret); dear friend and former wife, Dorothy; loving daughter, Shawny Wahl (Anthony) and granddaughter, Serena. Predeceased by his older brother, Arthur and grandson, Curtis. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends. Vic was a car salesman for approximately 50 years and worked for several dealerships in Victoria, achieving many sales awards. He was very active in many sports, especially ice hockey both as a player and coach. He was very involved with the Old Timers hockey league (both as coach and player) and travelled as far away as Japan for tournaments. Vic was always active and loved to walk and ride his bicycle with his buddies. In his early years, he also played lacrosse. He loved boating as well owning several boats which he named “Shawn-D”. Special thanks to his friends, Jack and Sylvia York, Dr. Nuttall, staff of Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Dogwood House.
Visitation will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated at McCall’s Downtown, on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 10:30 am with a reception to follow. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Jack and Sylvia York Jack and I have known Vic for a number of years. He has been a great friend to us. We always loved Vic’s sense of humor, quick wit and willingness to help out his friends. Ron Ogden I worked with Vic for about 18 years at Jenner Chevrolet. There wasn’t anybody in Victoria that hadn’t bought a car from Vic. When I started at Jenner’s, Vic had been is the business longer than I was old.

Serena Wahl Oh Grandpa, I was so sad to hear that you had left this earth on Tuesday, I have such fond memories of you coming to visit us in Ontario. My fondest memory of you, is with my brother Curtis, you took such a shine to him, and loved him dearly despite his autism, which made him so special. I will always keep you close to my heart and I pray to the dear Lord Jesus that He has taken mercy upon your soul and welcomed you into His Kingdom of Heaven. I pray that you have seen Curtis and are sharing Cheerios with him on a sofa made from the clouds! I love you Grandpa
