  1. I wonder if this is the Roxanne I met in Whistler downhill shining for one season of being a ski bum?
She too was from Owen sound, with a big head of thick curly hair.
We were about 24, and became mad friends…and tolerated her husband Peter…..she had a small surgery here in Vancouver, and immediately returned east.
Never saw nor heard from her again.
I have always looked for her…..could this much loved person be her?

  2. Roxanne, what a wonderful woman. I’ll miss her laugh, kindness and dedication.

Diane my sincerest condolences. My life at the office and home certainly wouldn’t be the same without having met her.I feel honored to have gotten to call her a friend, and spent so many formative years and experiences with her in my corner. I will miss her greatly.

  3. I am so saddened to hear of Roxanne’s passing but am also reflecting on her brilliance, tenacity and joyful nature. Our paths crossed many years ago as members of a great, creative and wild household of incredible young women in London Ontario. We both followed our hearts and dreams and the western winds to BC shortly after one another. I send my sincere condolences to all her dearest friends, her loving partner and her family. Her vibrant spirit was truly a gift.

  4. Roxanne was such a warm and gentle friend. It was always fun and interesting to spend time with her. I will always remember how loving and absolutely gentle she was with her birds and the cats she took care of both in Vancouver and Victoria. She faced her illness with such grace and strength with the help of Diane who was a most amazing partner. I will miss her and I will cherish the memories. She had/has a wonderful spirit.

  5. Roxanne made her friends feel like they were very special. A real gift given the number of friends she gathered over her life. I will miss her and all the good times we had, orphan’s Christmases, breakfast at Wimbledon and just hanging around talking. She will certainly stay in my heart.

  6. Roxanne when we first meet you stole my heart, when we parted I was heart broken but than you filled it with a lifetime of love and friendship. I will miss you and your phone messages.

Diane , it is a hard and difficult time for you but with time you will have the sweet and gentle memories. Take care love carmell
