Died on May 16th in Victoria, BC at the age of 68. She left this world peacefully with her girls by her side. During her active life, Marg shared her gifts with those around her and had many accomplishments. Marg was the successful owner of Endeavours Communications, where one of her more notable and rewarding tasks was producing the weekly segment “Wednesday’s Child” for CTV Edmonton for 32 years. Marg spent many years living between Edmonton and Victoria, enjoying herself by gardening, entertaining friends, and most recently walking with The Sole Sisters. While Marg fought several forms of cancer for over 25 years, she was able to complete the TC 10K in 2011 & 2012, even while living with cancer in her lungs. Marg was predeceased by her mother Mary Ellen and her brothers Jim and Albert. She leaves to carry on her spirit her partner Ken Park, her daughters Krista (Mike), and Kari (Fraser), Ken’s daughter Laureen, and the grandchildren who were her shining stars: Julia, Michael, Cameron, Kaleigh, Doug and Darryl. She also leaves behind her brothers Gordon and Gerry Alex, “Sister” Linda, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her nephew Shannon Alex, who held a special place in her heart. Marg had a sparkle in her eye that never left and she touched all those she met.
Celebrations of life with close family and friends will take place in both Victoria and Edmonton. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation or The Ride to Conquer Cancer (Mena Westhaver # 273927-4). The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. James Houston and the staff of Victoria Hospice for their gentle care of Marg and her family during her peaceful transition at the end. Condolences may be offered below.

Dearest and deepest condolences to Keri and Krista and the rest of your family. So very sorry to hear about your mum.
My folks filled me in about how wonderful the memorial was in Edmonton, wished I also could’ve been there to see you two.
Sending warm thoughts, memories and prayers your way to hopefully help mend your hearts.
Take care of each other,
Adisen <3
Our thoughts are with you Ken, Krista, Kari and families.
Greta came into my life through the Walterdale Theatre in Edmonton where we worked on several shows together and became close. I was so happy to reconnect with her recently and to share her life again these past few years…..truly a great lady and friend… I treasure the moments I had with her… she left a big footprint in my life…. my heart goes out to her family…. I loved her too….thinking of you Ken
much love from Sam
I will miss you my friend. “Chicken Liver” lunches along with copious amounts of wine will never be the same or enjoyed. I have only just heard today (May 26th) on the CTV news. I do hope you went ‘gently’ and hope that your family and Ken are doing as best as can be expected. May your spirit soar.
I was saddened to see the passing of a teenage friend. We had a lot of laughs with friends as we walked to the theatre on 118 Avenue. Grade 9 was a memorable year (way back when). My condolences to the family on the passing of a lovely lady.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Marg’s passing. Marg was one of my instructors at NAIT, and always inspired with her courage, passion and commitment to the craft. I will carry her lessons with me always. My sincere condolences to the family and all who loved her.
