Ray passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2016 at Victoria General Hospital. He was born in Edmonton, AB on September 11, 1954 to G. Allan and Lilian Burrows. He was predeceased by his sister, Noreen (1967) and his father, Al (1993). Ray will be sadly missed by his mother, Lilian; daughter, Lisa Hunt (Andrew) and grandchildren, Jayden and Jaya of Winnipeg MB; brother, Don (Marilyn); sister, Louise Head (Doug); a close knit family of nieces, nephews and cousins, and his dear and close friend, Marg Hart.
Ray moved to Winnipeg in 1964 with his family where he enjoyed playing hockey, curling and snowmobiling. Although he moved to Victoria in 1987, he remained a loyal Bomber and Jet fan. He loved to remodel and build and helped many of his friends with their projects. Even though his recent failing health designated him to the role of supervisor, he remained on the job.
Ray was a free spirit who enjoyed life, he had a kind heart and was a friend to many.
