Born in Cumberland, BC on October 11, 1927, Tak passed away on July 26, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife Sakaye; daughter Vikki Hay (Tom) and grandson Sean of Victoria; son Chris (Susan) and grandsons Taro and Akito of Calgary; and sister Betty Hayashi of Vancouver.
Tak was employed at Centra Gas in Winnipeg and retired in 1990.
For many years, he enjoyed fishing at the cottage in Manitoba. More recently, he took up brush painting as a hobby. Tak loved to follow his grandsons’ accomplishments in golf and hockey.
