Stephanie was born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia on December 13, 1950 to Don and Betty Trim. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Gerry; son, Tyler (Heather); grandchildren, Avery and Faith; daughter, Kimberly Bregg (Quentin); grandson, Parker; stepson, Duane (Lauren); grandsons, Liam and Aidan; sister, Jill Stokes (Dean) and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Scott in 1978.
Stephanie graduated from Vic High in 1969. She worked at Capital Iron, BC Government in Premier Dave Barrett’s office as Secretary, Fish and Wildlife, Attorney General’s, BC Government Manager’s Association, School District 61 in Maintenance and then spent 20 years at Monterey Middle School as School Secretary. She retired after she became ill, eventually succumbing to Alzheimer’s Disease on November 14, 2016 at Luther Court Community of Care. Stephanie was treated with care and compassion at Patient Care at Royal Jubilee Hospital for 18 months and the staff at Luther Court pampered her to no end for almost two years. I personally thank all the staff at these facilities. Stephanie’s end of life care was incredible at Luther Court. How these brave and compassionate people do what they do with limited staff is unbelievable. From the top to the bottom they all work together. To the staff on 3rd floor West, Bravo!! Thanks go to Dr. Robert Shepherd for his genuine care of Stephanie. He visited Stephanie often and thanks to Dr. Kent Butler for saving Steph’s feet!
Stephanie loved her children and she loved life in general. Rest in peace my love. You were my everything!! Forever yours, your loving family and friends from St. John’s Newfoundland/Labrador to Victoria, you were loved by all as we travelled Canada with curling. Until we meet again – Ger!
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Gerry Lister Those who knew Stephanie Lister, knew a kind and gentle person. Never to say a bad thing about anyone. She was always there for our Children and their friends. She assisted in many things with our extended family. She solved problems, gave direction and truly loved those that came to her! You know who you are and I know deep down, that you will have ever lasting memories of Mama Steph. Stephanie loved each and every student that passed through Monterey School. She instilled confidence in those that lacked it, she directed those who needed direction, she cared for those who needed love, she aided the sick and injured and most of all she loved the respect she received from the Staff! Anywhere Stephanie traveled, she was a magnet to people from Prince Edward Island, Scotland all the way to Victoria ! A true, true treasure for us all to share. Her devotion to her Friends and Family was second
to none! She was my everything. I will attempt to extend her legacy through me and continue to help anyone who requires it! She loved our Granddaughter Avery, the only one she really knew, but Faith and Parker will soon learn what a Wonder of The World their Nana was! Liam and Aidan our Step Grandsons, enjoyed their time with Grama Steph and loved her! All is not lost, Stephanie’s memory will linger on in our hearts and many stories that will be told of Steph, she was truly, One of a Kind! Love you Hon, Ger!

Darlene and Russ Ricketts Dear Gerry and family,
We are heartbroken for you all with Steph’s passing. Tyler your mom was an amazing and funny woman, she was the “other mom” to our son Vince many years ago. I remember Steph talking about “the boys” narratives and antics, laughing about them piercing their ears with an ice cube and potato! Gerry and Stephanie would open their home to others and welcome everyone, that graciousness will not be forgotten . There are great memories to treasure and cherish, just know Steph is in God’s arms now at peace. Our sincere condolences to everyone . Darlene and Russ Ricketts and family.

Gerry Lister My Love, my Life, my everything, I will love until we meet again. I’m taking you to the Crematorium as planned and will be their to the end. Whitey will be there to assist, such a great Friend and Godfather to Kimberly! It’s not good bye, it’s see you later Hon! I’m already dying a thousand deaths not being able to hold you! I’ll make it because of you, you presented me with two of the most beautiful treasures that could be never duplicated. Tyler and Kimberly! You made it possible for Avery and Faith to be on earth. Then came Parker our Grandson, what a legacy you left for me to instill your qualities. How wonder this will be. I will let your Grandchildren know what a beautiful person you are. They will live in your shadow, just knowing that they had the Perfect Nana! Ty, Heather, Kimberly and Quentin will tell tales about you and they will truly understand how Great You Were! Til we meet again, I still have much love saved for that joyous reunion! God only takes the best, I’m surprised he waited this long! But, I’m glad he allowed me 46 wonderful years with you! Say hi to the gang up there. Hurting, but, know I will be in your arms when I’m called. I love you!
