Sandy passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband, Jack; her children, Jacob, Emilina and Jenna; her parents, Fred and Betty; her sisters, Lori, Linda and Wendy and many other relatives and friends.
Her family remember her as a loving wife, mother, aunt, daughter, sister and sister-in-law. Sandy was very creative, artistically talented and musically gifted. She was very generous with her time and talents, creating many quilts, Christmas ornaments and jewelry as gifts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 785 Burnside Road West on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

Suzanne Moreau Sandy was such a joy for Jack and our family. There are so many wonderful attributes about her and so many stories about her and Jack and their adventures together that there isn’t space to include all here. But the things about her as my sister-in-law that I cherish, are her quiet, patient presence in my brother’s life. She was highly intelligent and often wowed us at family gatherings playing Trivial Pursuit with her vast knowledge of many topics. But she was never boastful, always grateful and accepting, but would defend her loved ones valiantly when called to do so. Her talents found expression in so many ways – her quilts were always one-of-a-kind – custom created to suit the lucky recipient of her gifts. Whenever I see a rainbow now, I will think fondly of Sandy as one came out here just at the moment she passed. Her quilt to welcome my son, Anton, was just such a wonder – incorporating significant aspects and influences upon him as a newborn – his genetic heritage of Asia and Europe (Japan and France) symbolized as a lotus flower and the Eiffel Tower; his mom’s (my) love of musical theatre (The yellow brick road and rainbow from the Wizard of Oz), and three teddy bears – mama, papa and baby. It’s a treasure. She was a treasure. Missing her now and forever, and always cherished – may she rest in peace.

Rosalie Knogler I was so sorry to read of Sandy’s passing she was a lovely woman and I know you will all miss her so much. I have good memories of quilting together as well as helping make her wedding headdress and gift boxes. She was very creative and a gentle soul.
With sympathy to you all. Rosalie Knogler

Dear Lori, Jack, Jenna and Family,
My sincerest condolences.
Sandy was a wonderful mother, thoughtful friend, and patient teacher to her daughter Jenna. I enjoyed our visits together, and loved seeing the way she creatively took her passions and interests and shared with them with Jenna as they home schooled together.
May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten. I pray that in the midst of your sorrow you find comfort in all the joyful memories shared.
