Mom slipped peacefully away early in the morning of December 28, 2016. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe and her only son, Joe Junior; brother, John Mar; sisters Rose Won and Helen Lee. Mom’s cheerful and loving nature will be sadly missed by her daughters, Judee (Jeff) Fong, Monica (Randy) Lowe; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Deb) Fong; grand-daughter, Liane Lowe; grandson, Thomas (Tabitha) Fong and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Ashton and Savanna Fong; her brothers, Jim (Barb) Mar, Jack (Arlene) Mar and Jerry (Linda) Mar; sister-in-law, Theresa Louie plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom always told us she had a good life enjoying her family, many friends and her busy life at the Cedars.
Our thanks to her compassionate doctors, Sarah Chritchley, David Bell and Stephen Mackenzie and the excellent nursing care of RJH’s 3-South.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
There will be no service, however, a tea will be held at a later date to celebrate Mom’s life.

Carole Brookfield So sad to hear of Lily’s passing but glad it was peaceful and that family were with her. We will miss her cheerful and gentle spirit at The Cedars where she was loved by residents and staff alike. I knew her for such a short time but she made a great impression on me. Dear Judee, Jeff, Jim, Barbara and all of Lily’s family. We were so sad to read of Lily’s passing. We are thankful to have know Lily. She was kind, loving and thoughtful of everyone. She was a beautiful lady with a gentle soul and she made all of us feel special. We will miss her but will always remember her with love.
