With profound sadness I announce the passing of my loving mother and best friend, “Momma Doll”, known to her friends as “Cathie”.
Born in Winnipeg, Cathie passed away in her 76th year on Saturday, Sept.5th, 2020 at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC.
Cathie was employed with the Greater Victoria School District 61 for over 30 years. She worked in the offices of many schools in the region and worked for many years in the Purchasing Dept at SD #61 Head Office.
She was a very creative lady. Over the years she engaged in many different crafts: Stained Glass, Porcelain Doll Making, Paper Quilling,
Paper Tole, Cake Decorating, Cross Stitch, Quilting and sewing.
Over the last decade her main focus was Paper crafting. She created Paper Albums, Scrapbook Pages, Cards and various other Paper Creations.
Everything she created resulted in absolute perfection.
Cathie is leaving behind so many friends in the Paper crafting Community. She loved to go to crops, take classes, and go on retreats.
Cathie was a hugger and many friends got greeted with a big hug and a smile every time they saw her.
She leaves behind daughter, Lorraine; 2 grandchildren, Ryan McLeod and Alanna McLeod and 1 great-grandson, Everett McLeod.
As well, she leaves behind her brother, Ted Bradshaw (Joanne) and 3 nieces.
Not to be forgotten, her furry, sweet and devilish grandbaby “Louie Louie”
Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
You are gone
But thank you
For all these funny, sweet, loving things
You have left behind
In my head, and in my heart
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

I am so sorry for your loss. I first met your mom through the school district and then again through my sister who worked more closely with her at the school district. I believe they both went to some retreats together.
As everyone has said she was just so kind and friendly and always ready with a hug.

I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom passing. We shared many wonderful times together and so so many laughs. Even though she has passed she will always be in our hearts.
So sorry for your loss. I worked with your mom at the board office for many years. I was a single mom of 3, and for 5 years in a row your mom paid my car insurance in November and I would reimburse her when my income tax return arrived in March. She was always so loving that way…quite a lady! April Van Laar

I will remember Cathie for her bubbly happy personality. She came to Kelowna 3 times with Linda & we had great times making photo albums & cards. She always bought samples of her latest neat projects.
I think she has already staked out a table in heaven & has it loaded with her crafting supplies
RRSP Cathie, praying for u, Lorraine & family
