Born in Rugby, England, Mac led a life of faith, integrity and compassion. A spiritual mentor, he touched many lives with his desire to share his faith and encourage others.
Mac will be deeply missed by his wife, Sylvia of seventy years, as well as his children, Deborah (Larry), Jennifer (John), Paul (Alison), Sandra (Mike) and his many grand and great grandchildren.
A Graveside service was held at Royal Oak Burial Park.

Bev Highton Pam and I were very sorry to learn of the passing of “Mac”.
My memories of him go back to the mid 1950’s when he first emigrated to Canada shortly after my family arrived in Victoria in 1952. Mac. and my Uncle Jack were my heroes. With Mac. helping me with my many English cars that were always requiring his expertise.
Mac was a faithful member of the Christadelphian church and always took time explaining his beliefs to all who took the time to discuss it with him.

I am so sorry for the late condolences. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mac at Horwood Mazda in the early 70s. We worked next to each other and developed a regard for each other. He was kind and encouraging as I and my family recently came from England. He had an impressive knowledge of the Bible and other holy writings. I left Horwoods in 1974 and lost contact with this great man. Several years ago I was picking up an order at Naughty Nellies in Gordenhead when I bumped into Mac and Sylvia waiting for their fish and chip dinner. I said “is that you Mac” he said ,without blinking, ‘ Frank Hitchmough, how are you?’? After 40 plus years later, remembering he was 90ish, he knew my name as if we were still working next to each those many moons ago. What a truly wonderful man.
