Sian passed away suddenly on June 26, 2025 at the age of 57.
Sian will be very much missed by her husband Rob, her mother Rita, her dog Ellie, her many, many friends, and her work colleagues.
Sian had an eye for design, a love for all things Ina Garten, and an endless desire for the perfect pair of jeans.
Sian’s final wish was to donate her organs so that others could live. Her final act saved four lives.
Sian worked for many years for the government of BC and was respected and adored by her colleagues.
Sian brought joy to so many, and words cannot express the enormous sadness of her loss. The world has lost a wonderful, caring, beautiful soul.
A celebration of life may be held in the future.
Anyone who knew Sian, knew how passionate she was about dogs. If desired, any tributes may be made to the Victoria SPCA.

Fiona Johnson Dear Rob and Family,
Sian was truly one of a kind — a warm and welcoming person whose infectious laugh could light up any room. Her incredible talent for decorating, her deep love for dogs and her amazing skills in the kitchen, were just a few of the many ways she brought joy to those lucky enough to know her.
Sian had a way of making people feel at home and welcomed them with open arms in her calm and cheerful way. Sian always thought of others and this was true right up to the end.
Sian will remain in our hearts forever and in the wonderful memories. I will always treasure the times we spent together. She was a very special person who had become a dear friend and I will miss her very much.
❤️

Ilyana The laughs shared over the more than 30 years of friendship are now priceless memories. Sian, always quick to laugh, and what we all wouldn’t give to share more laughs with her…enjoyed over pizza, Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, a shopping spree for something to buy in all the colours, or a piece of “must have” furniture to refinish to perfection.
I’ll see you again sweet friend and we’ll sip our sweet tea on our wrap around porch and pet all the dogs.

I worked with Sian at the Criminal Justice Branch. She was a wonderful lady with a kind heart and a generous soul. I was extremely lucky to have known her – her great sense of humour, her positive attitude and her wonderful spirit. She will be missed by so many.
My deepest sympathy and kind thoughts. Mary
