Our beloved Mike died on August 6, 2025, with wife Jennifer at his side. Mike is survived by his children, who were the absolute joy of his life, Chloe, Macy, Sadie and Clint, parents Lonnie and Marlene, brother Steve (Kerry), parents-in-law Don and Susan, who loved him as a son, sister-in-law Marcie, nieces and nephews Taiga, Toni, Ryan, Adam and Mckenzie, and many close friends. Mike was born July 28, 1975, and was a lifelong resident of the Saanich Peninsula. Mike and Jen married in 1998 and loved the life they built together. Mike’s family was his focus and what mattered to him most was spending time with and talking with his children. Mike would be found at every one of their sports games, band performances, and dance recitals. Mike is immensely proud of his children and the people they have grown to be. He was happy to recently celebrate his 50th birthday surrounded by family. Mike’s strength, intelligence, love, humour, sense of fun, and generosity will long be remembered. He had an incredible memory for people, places, and events. Mike had many interests throughout his life and a wide circle of friends. He spent time camping, hunting, fishing, and always enjoyed a drive or road trip. He played baseball and rugby in younger years and dirt-biked from a young age. Mike also liked to golf, curl, and looked forward to a game of poker. Mike took pride in his work as a commercial plumber and gasfitter, spending his entire career in the family business Deep Cove Plumbing & Gas Ltd. Thank you for the outstanding and compassionate care from Dr. Liebscher, Dr. McGhie, who supported him at BC Cancer, and the wonderful team at Royal Jubilee Hospital Palliative Care.
Mike you are dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Service to be determined at a later date.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Laura Cairns Dear Jen, Chloe,Macy, Sadie and Clint
Mike has been a dear friend from our younger years and on. It is an honour to have known him. What we remember most is his mischievous sense of humour, and always having a smile on his face.
He was so very proud of his family and it showed.
He was an incredible hardworking tradesman, we can remember driving by him in his Deep Cove Plumbing truck always with a smile and a wave.
He will be sorely missed.
We share in your heartbreak.
Sending love to you all
