June, 95, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025 surrounded by friends who cared for her.
June was born on June 6, 1930, in Hitchin, England. She is predeceased by her husband Peter and survived by her sons Paul (Joanne) and Kim and granddaughter Claire in England.
June and Peter married in 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1981 after Peter retired from the British army. June had an active working life, and after retirement volunteered at Beacon Community Thrift Store in Brentwood Bay. She also belonged to a knitting group that donated their work to charity.
June will be remembered by her many friends on Vancouver Island. There will be no service, as per June’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beacon Community Services online or at 2723 Quadra St Victoria BC or to one of the Thrift stores.
