Our sweet Rosa passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Amaro.
Born on July 7, 1935, on the island of São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Rosa lived a life marked by love, resilience, and unwavering strength. She met the love of her life, Amaro, and together they embarked on a new journey, immigrating to Canada with their young family in search of greater opportunities. She built a life rooted in love, raising her children, enjoying various work experiences, and forming lasting, beautiful friendships along the way. Known for her vivacious spirit and generous heart, she brought joy and light to everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
She leaves a lasting memory of warmth in the hearts of her family: daughters Maria (Gerry) and Grace; grandchildren Bradley, Ryan, Jeff, and Selena (James); and great-grandchildren Ciara, Nikolina, and Elijah.
A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, located at 740 View St, on Wednesday, September 10th, at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Burial Park, with a reception to follow in the Sequoia Center at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC at 3:30 PM.
