Terry was born in Lacombe, Alberta to Robert & Edith Anderson. The family moved to Yellowknife when he was a young child, and it was there that his sister, Dixie, was born. A few years later they moved to Calgary, where he spent the rest of his youth and went on to obtain a BSc from the U of C. Terry later joined the military and earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta. He was then posted to Toronto, where he met his wife, Rita. Shortly after getting married, they left for Germany, where Terry would be working at CFB Baden-Soellingen. They lived there for 3 years and it was a highlight of their lives. Upon returning to Canada, they relocated to Halifax, where Terry completed his radiology training at Dalhousie University and their daughter, Stephanie, was born. The family finally settled in Victoria when Stephanie was a baby. Terry retired from the military in 1990 to open his own radiology practice: St. Anthony’s X-ray in Colwood and an office in Sooke. Terry retired from medicine in 2012 and greatly enjoyed that time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Stephanie, son-in-law Patrick, and granddaughters Thea & Eva. He was predeceased by his wife Rita, sister Dixie, and parents Bob & Edie.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, at McCall Gardens in the Sequoia Centre, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC V8Y 1B4, with a reception to follow. Terry will be buried with his wife in Kenaston, Saskatchewan next year.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Sean Boulet I was very sad to hear that ‘Terry’ (although I want to also call him ‘Doctor Anderson’) had passed away. In all of my interactions with him he was soft-spoken, kind, and generous. He was a great host and I always enjoyed chatting and sipping a glass of wine with him. He and Rita were a true powerhouse couple – with so much wit and love in their relationship. He clearly adored his grandchildren, his daughter, and his son-in-law. My condolences to them all.

Dear Stephanie,
We were very sad to hear about the loss of your father, Terry. Your family has always been very special to us, and we cherish the wonderful memories of spending New Year’s Eve together, dancing and celebrating. Your father was such a kind, bright, and warm man — his spirit clearly lives on in you.
Our Deepest condolences. Dominique, Armando and Emanuela
