Maureen Schwan (nee Connor). Born in Montreal, QC on September 12, 1943. Passed away in Sidney, BC on October 13, 2025, at the age of 82 years. Maureen moved to Victoria with her parents and son Stephen in 1967. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family, son Stephen (Mary), grandchildren Evan (Zenobia), Rowan (Hannah) and Bryn (Ellen), as well as her best friend forever since arriving in Victoria, Gail Petrie. Maureen was predeceased by her husband Werner in 2024.
Special thank you to the staff of the Rest Haven Lodge for their outstanding care of Maureen while she resided there.
There will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Broadmead Care Society would be greatly appreciated to recognize the care they provided to Maureen.

Debbie Stenner To Stephen, Mary, Evan, Rowan and Bryn, very sad to hear that Maureen has passed. We’ve known Maureen since she was at Scotia Bank in Hillside. Over the years we’ve gotten together to help with Turkey Time, farm sitting, gardening pruning, and to share a glass or two of wine. Always enjoyed talking with Maureen, so many stories…it has been 2 years since I last had coffee with her…bit of a difficult time, but still was good to see her..My husband Randy knew Werner through the Soccer Referees Association and I am very sorry, I was not aware that Werner had passed last year.
