Gail Nicholas I have known dear Pat since she was a young girl in Vancouver. We lived a few blocks apart. Our mothers were cousins. As years went by and Pat much later moved to Dunlevy St. in Victoria, I would visit her once or twice a year and she came to my home a couple of times too, in Boundary Bay.
Pat often hosted little gatherings of many of our family when I went to her lovely home. We always enjoyed a lovely time together, sharing lots and lots of family stories, lots and lots of travels and of course we also enjoyed lots and lots of nice meals, either at home or often out.
Pat was always very kind and lovely and we always enjoyed our times together. I only discovered that she had passed away because my Christmas card to her was returned and I called Berwick House. I shall miss her. I had hoped to visit her this spring…I wish her much love & many blessings as she moves beyond…

Donna Flood My deepest condolences to the Thompson family in the passing of Pat. It is my loss as well, as she was a long, dear friend as well as a sorority sister. She introduced me to attending the sympathy and theatre with her, and we did so for many years.. I have so many fond memories of her, especially wonderful visits to her home. She loved company and entertaining her friends. We had many good times together. I will miss her deeply

She spoke a lot about her family and her friends. She was indeed a lovely person.

Jenny Gnam So many memories. Aaron and I bought our place in 2013 and Auntie Pat was here helping us unpack. I of course had to rearrange everything but her heart was always there. She never missed a single holiday or birthday to mail a card. A truly classy one of a kind lady. Forever in our hearts, love you Auntie Pat

Amber Anderson We have many fond memories of Auntie Pat.
For me, one of my favourites is when I would stay with her and Grandma as a little girl and Auntie Pat would always have a set of paper dolls for me to play with. I would dress them up in their many outfits and show them off. I’m sure they weren’t the most exciting fashion shows but she would always nod her approval or make suggestions that would send me back to my box of outfits for an upgrade. Those childhood memories of eating cookies and having tea are what I will remember most.

Kaitlyn Miller I’m so sorry for your loss. You both took such wonderful care of her and should be incredibly proud. I never had the chance to officially meet Auntie Pat, but she was clearly quite the character. One of my favorite memories was trying to find her a Christmas gift and her saying something along the lines of, “If it isn’t Purdy’s chocolate, forget it.”

Rosalyn Fast (nee Ivatts) Auntie Pat was always part of life whether we were living in Victoria, Vancouver, Williams Lake and beyond. I remember the stories of her travels here there and everywhere. I know her and my Mom shared a strong friendship bond that lasted over 60 years.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers as we remember a lovely person that graced this earth.

We will remember our cousin Pat for her hospitality and kindness to our family. She was very interested in family history and a great source of information. She would have get-togethers when family members came from out of town so we could meet each other. I always admired her spirit during the last few years. She didn’t give up! We will miss you, Pat.
