It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Yu, 86, born on December 27, 1939, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Mabel, his daughters, Mandy, Esther and Cecily. His sons-in-law, Andy and Thomas; and his grandchildren, Alan, Haydon, Elizabeth, and Nathan,
Kevin immigrated to Canada with his family in 1989, established roots and settled in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.
He always enjoying talking to people, jogging and excited for all his explorations around Victoria. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.

Joan Lamb Dear Mabel and Mandy,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Kevin’s passing. He was well-known in the neighbourhood and on the Cedar Hill Golf Course chip trail where I first met him – happily exploring, enjoying nature, chatting with golfers and walkers, and collecting stray golf balls. He will be missed by many.
I am sorry for your loss and extend my deepest condolences to you both, and to Esther, Cecily and their families.
