Ray passed away peacefully at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC. A devoted husband, father, and friend to many, he was a musician, DJ, artist, comedian, and storyteller. Dad had a lifelong obsession with trains, planes, and automobiles. And boats.
He is dearly missed by his children Anne, Leslie, Claire, Stephen (Sharon); grandchildren, Sean (Jen), Kate, Chris, Madison, and great grandsons Julian and Kayden.
Friends, family, and neighbors are welcome to his home in Victoria for a life celebration – the date of which is yet to be determined.
The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate doctors and care staff at Jubilee 8 South who cared for Ray during his month-long stay.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Thank you to Anne and the family for sharing Ray with us. He was a dear man, funny and generous, musical and creative. I’m glad of the art I have by him and the cds remind me of his years with CFUV, the UVic radio station, and his group Colcannon.
