Soon Fatt, a devoted family man, respected businessman, and adventurous spirit, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 75. To those who knew him, he was the ultimate provider—a man who placed his family above all else with a love that was as selfless as it was endless.

He began his career as an electrician and, through dedication and unwavering integrity, built a thriving company from the ground up. Known for his warm, sociable nature and genuine character, he formed lasting friendships with clients and fellow tradespeople alike earning a reputation for honesty that preceded him wherever he went.

Soon Fatt’s captivating and engaging personality meant he was able to make new friends wherever his adventures took him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, spontaneity, and a deep, abiding loyalty to the people he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gillian Siew Choo Loo, his daughter Madeline (James), his son Kevin (Dawn), his daughter Mikki (Adam), and his granddaughter Vera. He is also survived by his close brothers, Richard Soon Kwong (Chon) and David Soon Min (Cathy), and extended families in Victoria, Vancouver, USA, and Brunei.
In lieu of flowers, and in accordance with Soon Fatt’s final request, he would appreciate donations made in his name to the BC Cancer Foundation.
