The O'Brien Family A fine gentleman in the most true sense of that phrase. Mr. Hobbs was a dear friend of our family as was Mrs. Hobbs and the boys. Mr. Hobbs is certainly a welcome addition to Heaven and may well be leading a whole bunch of other fine people in a good ol’ sing-along; “Stars of the Evening Shining on the Cookhouse Door”.

It is with sadness that Yvonne and I received the news of the passing of Peter Hobbs. Our condolences to his family. He was the last Principal in my long teaching career of 34 years, and he had some very kind things to say on my retirement which I shall always remember with gratitude. He was both Principal and friend, considerate and kind, and encouraged his teachers to give of their best. He mixed easily with his Staff and was good company on social occasions.
