Our dearest and loving husband and father, Keith Middleton passed away at home on April 22nd, 2026. A man of outstanding integrity, he lived a good life until 94, but we were not yet ready to say good-bye. Keith was born in Seattle, WA. in 1931 to Muriel Prichard and Keith Middleton Sr., the second of three children. In 1947, the family moved to Vancouver, BC, where he was educated at McGee High School and UBC, pursuing Engineering and Commerce. After receiving his B.Com., he started his career as a navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force, a job which would take him across the country many times. Keith later moved into private industry to work for DuPont of Canada in Montreal, where he met his true love, Teresa, at the Pointe Claire Yacht Club. Boats were his passion, even building the one on which they raced. Marrying in 1965, Keith and Teresa had four children and eventually picked up the family and moved “back” to the west coast. Arriving in Victoria, he began working for Trident Aircraft, later known as Viking Air, completing a long and distinguished career as CFO. A devoted husband and father, Keith was wonderfully kind and gentle, and highly respected in both his personal and professional life. In his younger years, he was an active sailor and loved the water, as well as being an accomplished skier. All these skills, and so many more, he passed on to his four children for whom he was a guiding beacon. He will be missed more than we can say. He was predeceased by two beautiful children, (Keith) Andrew Middleton and Elizabeth Middleton-Jones, his sister Diana MacGregor and brother, Arthur Gilman (Gil) Middleton. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Teresa, daughters Annemarie and Christina, sons-in-law Adam Gerber and Justin Jones, and two grandchildren, Ella and Cameron Jones.
Embrace our two departed children when you see them, my darling. Til we meet again, dear heart.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Reception will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, 2060 Haultain Street, Victoria, BC on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00pm. Interment at Ross Bay Cemetery.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Jean Gerber Dear Middleton family, With a heavy heart I send you my thoughts for Keith. He was a kind, generous man, a loving man who lived a life of purpose. We say “May his memory be a blessing” but I add, ” let his life and his deeds be a blessing to everyone he knew and loved”. I know Harvey would have joined me in all this. He so enjoyed knowing Keith.
With love for you and good memories,
Jean and Family.

John Lee My sincere condolences to the surviving members of the Middleton family. I do not know how one deals with the chaos of losses for which one is not ready, or where the timing makes no sense, or where the frequency of such losses is punishing.
There is ample evidence that Keith was an excellent father, husband, and CFO. I recall a sign on the door to his home office, proclaiming something similar to: “Within can be found Dad: fixer of broken objects, mender of broken hearts”, and believe that message to be irrefutable, especially regarding Keith.
It is a certainty that by now Keith will have (if at all possible) sought out Andrew and Beth, two of his children who had so much yet to offer but who were ripped away from us, too soon, by utterly tragic circumstances. Such is enough to nag one with the question “why”, despite there being no chance of a satisfactory answer.
Dear Keith: you raised as fine a family as one could hope for. Dear Keith, Teresa, Ann and Christina: I don’t think anyone can truly understand such grief until they experience it themselves, so I won’t pretend to. I am so sorry for your loss as cannot be put into words. Keith would not have wanted to put you in this situation, but we cannot always choose the timing of our departure.
I drink a sad toast to Keith and the Middleton family.

Marijke de Zwager Sending love and hugs to you all from Port Hardy. While I knew Mr and Mrs Middleton met at the yacht club in Montreal, I didn’t know Keith was born in the states nor that he served in the Air Force. As AM Scan says above I will always cherish those Family Day memories as some of the best days of my childhood. No matter when someone dies it always seems too soon. Sending healing and strength for all you are dealing with along with Keith’s passing. ✨❤️
