Born in Vienna, Austria in 1930, Hermine passed away peacefully in Victoria May 22nd, 2026. A long-time employee of the Dutch Bakery, she revelled in her interactions with customers over the years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends both here and in Austria – our “Energizer Bunny” will live forever in our hearts. Reception will be at 2:00pm on June 20th, 2026 at the Sequoia Centre, McCall Gardens.

Vickie and Henry Pejril Chris, Brenda and Kai – we are so sorry for your loss. Hermi was truly a force of nature and we all loved her. I’m sure Hanna is waiting for her with a beer to share because she “only wants a half”
I have many fond memories of going to Hermie’s home as a little girl. Always being welcomed and feeling special. Later on in life it was so wonderful to see her in the Dutch Bakery. Such a welcoming and generous smile it was like a home coming feel as soon as she saw you. She will be missed ❤️.
