It is with a heavy heart that Mack passed away on Monday, July 27th, 2026, after a lengthy battle with dementia at the Gorge Road Hospital in Victoria BC. Mack was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick.

He was predeceased by his sister Margaret LeBlanc in 2024. She left behind her husband Wayne Leblanc Sr. and their four children, Wayne Jr., Amanda, Rachel, and Stephanie. Mack leaves behind his loving wife Blanche (nee Sherman), his stepsons Gerry (Lisa) and Michael, both from Saint John, and his granddaughter Kayla May from Victoria BC. Mack’s sister-in-law Ruby, one daughter Susan, husband Rob and their children Ryan and Ashleigh. Brother-in-law Howie and his wife Cathy and their children Jeffrey, Angela, and Kelly Ann, and the newest to join the family, Great Nephew Gordon. Mack also leaves behind good friends from Carmague Properties; Gregg and Cathy, Mike and Elena, Jake and Henry.

Mack was a great artist, sculptor, carver, and a jewellery maker. He also was an avid bicyclist, enjoyed karate, welding, and gardening. He married Blanche in 1999, and they moved out west and settled in Courtenay, BC. He worked for different Pay Less stations as well as Shell Canada over the years until he retired in 2014, then moved to Victoria in 2015. Mack was a gentle soul who called everyone he met “friend” at his place of business or elsewhere.

His biggest joy was his granddaughter, Kayla. They constantly played pranks on each other. She would dance around for him, especially near the end when it seemed to make him happy, and as long as she could make him smile, she was happy.

Special thanks to Dr. McKeen and all of the staff of Gorge Road Hospital Sky View Unit, for all the care, kindness, attention, and love they showed to me, but especially to Mack for assisting him on his new path.

Rest in Peace Mack, WLS… forever,

Blanche
