It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our treasured Mom, Pearl, who passed away with family by her side at the age of 95 on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
Pearl was a caring daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, gran, great gran (GG), aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend to many.
Pearl was predeceased by her parents Tillie (Szigety) and Jim Wallace, her husband Jake and her son-in-law Greg. Pearl is survived by her daughters Dalyce (Simon) and Sheena, granddaughters Gabrielle (Matt) and Katie, and Margot, Henry and Nora, three great grandchildren she adored.
Pearl grew up in Mankota, Saskatchewan, married Jake and settled in Calgary, Alberta in 1953 where for over 45 years Pearl and Jake shared a life centred around family, friends and neighbours.
Although reluctant to leave her life in Calgary, Pearl made the courageous decision to move to Victoria, British Columbia in 2018 to be closer to family. Pearl spent her last years at Legion Manor enjoying the walkway around the property, attending the knitting group, trying her luck at bingo every week and reading her way through countless novels.
We will miss her so much.
