Philip John Le Roy passed away on September 2, 2026, in Victoria, BC, at the remarkable age of 105.
Philip is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Le Roy. Philip was the second oldest of nine siblings; Molly, Ron, Buster, Ada, Joe, Rita, Vi, and Marcia. He is survived by a large extended family of 29 nieces and nephews. Maureen expresses her heartfelt gratitude to all the healthcare professionals who provided dedicated care to Philip.
Born in Point Grey, Vancouver, BC, on November 19, 1920, Philip lived a full and active life deeply rooted in British Columbia. Throughout his life, he resided in Swallow Dale Farm, Genoa Bay, Paldi, Sahtlam, Cowichan Bay, and Cobble Hill.
He is widely remembered as a logger for over 50 years and as the creative force and owner behind the Yokum Valley Golf Course in Sahtlam. An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Philip played baseball for the Duncan Athletics, curled at the Duncan curling rink, and spent his free time camping, sport fishing, and boating.
No services by his request. Cremation and Interment at Royal Oak Burial Park.
