Janette was born in Halifax and raised in Sackville, Nova Scotia. She brings a diverse and fulfilling background to her role at McCall Gardens, having enjoyed a rewarding career that includes teaching, owning a spa, and working with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Now as McCall’s After Care Director, Janette feels profoundly aligned to her calling – blending warmth, professionalism and discretion to ensure that every family feels supported.

Janette is deeply involved in her faith community, serving as a Worship Leader alongside her husband, who is a pastor. She and her family are known for their love of fishing and for hosting large, joyful potluck dinners. She is a proud mother of six, grandmother to fifteen, and great-grandmother to two.

Outside of work, Janette enjoys cooking, singing, and snorkelling – often finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As After Care Director at McCall Gardens, Janette provides ongoing guidance and support to families following the service. Whether assisting with estate matters, paperwork, or simply offering a listening ear, she is committed to helping families navigate the days and months that follow a loss with compassion and clarity.
