Passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the age of 63 on the Island of Santa Maria Açores. She has resided in Victoria, BC for 16 years. Predeceased by her first husband, Antonio Paiva; her parents, Vitorino and Virginia Moura and her sister, Maria Sousa. Fernanda will be dearly missed by her husband, Manuel Figueiredo. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan Paiva, Nancy Sorensen (Rene); her son, Jimmy (Jenny); stepdaughters, Teresa, Grace Aura and Carman. She will be missed by her three grandchildren, Jacob, Maya and Joshua, as well as her step-granddaughters, Cyrena and Gabriella. Sister to Ermelinda Pereira and Emily Reis, Alhandrina Figueiredo; her brothers, John Moura and Tony Moura and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 am. Donations in Fernanda’s name may be made to the charity of choice.
