Heather Wedel To everyone who knew John Walcot. I know that Uncle John would want us to remember him as he was, a kind and gentle man. He would not want us to mourn to long but for our sakes, long enough. He leaves us with a large hole in our lives. He would want us to remember the good times, times with family and friends. He was a man who valued his wife, son, grandchildren and great grandchildren very highly and was so very proud of you all. He always showed interest in what we were doing or where we were going. A man’s life should not be measured by his earthly accomplisments ,what he owned, his wealth, his physical stature but by his character and his ability to value and love ,family, friends and strangers he has met. John Walcot was such a man. We were so fortunate to have known this man, to have been part of his family and to be regarded as his friend. Mr. John Walcot we miss you. Uncle John, I miss you very much. Love Heather, Bill & Family.

Barry & Chrystal Hayden Barry and I met John and Margret through Victoria and Ken Hughes. We had many good times and visits with both of them. John was one to tell funny stories and a very lovable person.
We send our condolence to John’s family and know they will miss him but will carry him in their hearts for we are sure he has made an imprint on them.
Sincerely,
Barry and Chrystal Hayden

This news saddens me, it is a great loss to the Deaf community to lose a kindhearted and wise soul. I have nothing but good memories of seing a smiling John at community events. He will be sorely missed by all. With love and hugs to the family, Lisa Anderson (hometown: VIctoria, BC now living on Mainland)
