  1. My Name is Margaret Garrett and I attended the University of Guelph from 1965-1968.
Dr. Trevor Lloyd Jones was my escort for a campus Homecoming Queen competition in 1967. (I won too).We had a delightful week of interviews and events and excellent conversation even though I was attending the new academic college on campus “Wellington College” and not the Vet college. I had a huge respect for him. At the time his connection with Save the Children. He inspired me to now have been on 11 missions with the Charity Sleeping Children Around the World (Murray Dryden). When it came to naming my son, I chose the name Trevor. I hoped he would be as kind and intelligent as Trevor Jones. Today my Trevor is 56 years old and indeed Your Trevor would be proud for his namesake. Not only does Trevor have his Masters in System Design Engineering (Waterloo) he has his Masters of Divinity (Tyndale). Trevor is very kind, very intelligent and humble. No one may ever read this note and I don’t know why after all these years I was thinking about Dr Jones, but I did and found this wonderful obituary, a life well lived.

  2. I was only a few years out of the US Army when I enrolled in the graduate program at OVC. Every now and again I would encounter Dean Jones. He was always interested in the Yankee and made it a very personal and pleasant conversation. He was really interested in me.
Thank you to a world class Dean and educator.

  3. Many of us remember Trevor when he was a regular attendee for many years at the Victoria Welsh Society. He usually brought a crowd of people to functions such as St David’s Day. He addressed the Society on a number of occasions and some of us have read his autobiography. I’m not sure where that is now perhaps we could put some extracts in our Newsletter. He was proud of his Welsh heritage and we are proud of his many accomplishments.
    Condolences to the family.
