Beverley Scheurle On behalf of my mother, Beatrice Griffiths, and myself, I would like to offer my condolences to the family. My mother & Isobel nursed together for many years and were good friends. Mom now has dementia & is in a care home, but does have memories of days gone by. I have fond memories of going to the Cook St. apartment on Christmas eve as a child for tourtiere as well as meeting Isobel frequently at the Hillside Mall in later years. She was such a lovely women & always the gracious lady (with a lovely sense of humour). My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Pam and John Baanstra We have many memories of your family. Isobel was a very special lady who dealt with many issues in her long life. She treated us like family and in many ways we felt that way. We still think often of Ted (met him when he was 18) and miss his visits with us – especially July 1 because we celebrated Canada birthday, my mothers birthday and your parents anniversary. Also had many conversations and Christmas cards with Isobel.
Our prayers are with the family and we will remember her.
Pam.
I would like to offer my condolences to your family. I worked at VGH many years ago with your mother. I was only 20 years old and she took me under her wing to teach me the ways of the operating room. She was an incredible lady, great whit and always quite proper. I just passed by her apartment on Cook St. the other day and wondered how she was doing, only to read about her in the paper a few days later. She was always very proud of her family and truly a wonderful person to work with. The one thing she would never tell was her age and now I find out she is the same age as my mom!! All the best to everyone in your family. Kathy Powell
