Teresa Pascale

After ninety-five years, Teresa passed peacefully on September 23, 2012. Born in Calabria, Italy on May 3, 1917, she was the second of ten children. She married in 1942 and had two daughters, Graziella and Rosa. In 1963, she moved to Prince Rupert making many good friends. Her focus was on making her house a home, making sure there was always something delicious to eat for her family, which included five grandchildren. In 1980, she and her husband Giuseppe moved to Victoria where they enjoyed the city’s warm sun. Teresa was always a lady and she enjoyed dressing finely. We can still hear the click clack of her sensible heels and see her walking with her purse in the crook of her arm. We will remember her singing high-pitched folk songs of her own invention as well as her impeccable housekeeping. Our family extends our deepest gratitude to the staff of Luther Court, who for the last eight years treated “Mama” with the greatest of tenderness. Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe in 1997. She is survived by her two daughters, Graziella Delicato and Rosa Salvati and her grandchildren.

Prayers will be offered in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER PARISH with interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. Reception will take place at Luther Court following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Luther Court, 1525 Cedar Hill Cross Road, Victoria, BC V8P 2P2. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
